The surface opens
The expedition crosses Titan’s frozen plains until scale collapses around a single wound in the ice. Ridges, distance and horizon give way to an opening that should not be there.

The fissure does more than interrupt the landscape. It changes the direction of the journey. What had been a passage across Titan now tilts toward the world beneath it.
Danger and invitation occupy the same edge. The abyss has not yet revealed its depth, but the route can no longer pretend to remain on the surface.
Is the fissure a natural wound—or a doorway?
